Harold Aspers

Visual artist Harold Aspers grew up in the south of the country and studied architecture in Delft. After a successful career of over 15 years as an architect, he made the definitive choice for his great passion and has been working as a full-time artist ever since.

Within the theme of female portraiture, this artist is on a constant journey, searching for a natural beauty that goes beyond the paper-thin facade. Aspers continuously explores the boundaries of the medium, building up his portraits layer by layer using mostly self-developed techniques. These diverse layers and the resulting crackle effect give his paintings a unique and characteristic look.
