Looking back at the Italian Event at House of Pertijs
Last June, House of Pertijs was all about Italian atmosphere, style, and connection. During the Italian Event, Sandra Goossens was also present with six works from Kunstgalerie Bijzonder. A wonderful opportunity to show art outside the gallery, in a place where experience and attention were central.
Amidst the Italian details, conversations, and visitors, Sandra’s works found their own place. Not as mere decoration, but as part of the event’s atmosphere.
An event with Italian flair and art
The Italian Event at House of Pertijs brought people together in a warm and stylish setting. This kind of environment is a perfect fit for art. Visitors walk around, look, pause for a moment, and often react very intuitively to what they see.
For Sandra, it was a great way to show her work in a different location. A different dynamic emerges outside the fixed walls of the gallery. Art becomes part of a moment, a conversation, and an experience.
Six works by Sandra Goossens
Sandra featured six works during the event. Each piece brought color, character, and feeling into the space. The paintings invited people to pause, look closer, and let the atmosphere of the work sink in.
That is exactly what Sandra’s work often does. It doesn’t ask for a quick explanation, but for attention. Sometimes the color stands out first. Sometimes the composition. Sometimes, above all, the feeling a work evokes.
Experiencing art outside the gallery
At Kunstgalerie Bijzonder, there is plenty of room to look around at your leisure, ask questions, and receive personal advice. During an event, it works differently. People come in for the atmosphere, strike up unexpected conversations, and sometimes discover art in a very spontaneous way.
That is what made the Italian Event special. Sandra’s works were present in a living environment, among visitors, encounters, and movement. This made it clearly visible how art can give atmosphere to a space.
Why this fits Kunstgalerie Bijzonder
Kunstgalerie Bijzonder is about more than just viewing a collection. It’s about feeling, personal contact, and art that fits the place where someone lives or works. The Italian Event aligned beautifully with that.
Sandra brought not only six works but also the gallery’s personal approach. You were free to look at your own pace. Questions could arise spontaneously. And the art was simply allowed to do its work.
